On May 30, 2026, a transport vessel carrying China’s first 66kV aluminum-core submarine cable departed Jinniu Wharf in Rudong, bound for the Yangjiang Sanshandao Offshore Wind Farm project site. Prior to shipment, Far East Submarine Cable Co., Ltd. held a delivery ceremony at the wharf on May 27, officially handing over the product to Huadian (Yangjiang Yangdong) New Energy Co., Ltd.Delivery Preparation & On-site Operations
This delivery required cross-departmental collaboration covering production, equipment, procurement & supply, customer service and marketing teams, with all tasks assigned to specific staff and advanced in parallel. The marketing team coordinated with the project owner to confirm the delivery window; the procurement team finalized agreements with construction contractors and wharf operators; production and equipment teams inspected operating conditions; the customer service team verified full delivery checklists.
Starting mid-May, the on-site team completed wharf layout, equipment commissioning and safety training within days. After the transport vessel docked, the company held an on-site meeting with the project owner and design institute to confirm the loading plan, while completing filing and operation coordination with maritime, port and other regulatory authorities, ensuring on-time delivery and full passing of all pre-voyage tests.Delivery & Maiden Voyage Ceremony The delivery ceremony was held at Berth W1 of Jinniu Wharf, Rudong on May 27.Zhou Liang, Member of the Standing Committee of Rudong County Party Committee, attended the ceremony and stated that the successful delivery of China’s first 66kV aluminum-core submarine cable demonstrates Far East Submarine Cable’s technological innovation capacity and injects new vitality into Rudong’s new energy industry development.
