To achieve the overarching goal of leading the high-quality development of manufacturing, and centering on the construction of the "1650" industrial system, the list of new products and technologies for this round was finalized after review by the Joint Conference Office for the Promotion and Application of New Technologies and New Products of Jiangsu Province and evaluation by expert panels.
Far East’s project Twist-resistant Flexible Cables for Wind Power Generation with Rated Voltage 110kV (Um=126kV) (FDEH-X-64/110kV-1×240) has been successfully shortlisted for Jiangsu Province’s 30th Catalog of New Products & New Technologies for Promotion and Application.

Wind power cables are critical components for power transmission of wind turbines, whose safety and reliability directly determine the service life of wind generators. Most wind farms in China are located in coastal areas, mountainous regions or Gobi deserts with low population density. Special harsh environments featuring high humidity, heavy salt fog and high ozone concentration impose stricter requirements on components including cables.
The R&D breakthrough of this technology addresses the technical bottleneck of transmission systems for large-capacity offshore wind turbines. It is a world-first technology recognized to reach internationally advanced standards, and has been granted funding under Jiangsu Provincial Key R&D Program. The development of this product overcomes technical barriers of offshore large-capacity unit transmission systems, which carries great significance for upgrading offshore wind power technologies, boosting high-quality rapid development of China’s new energy industry, and facilitating the realization of the "30·60" Dual Carbon Goals.

As one of China’s largest suppliers of wind power cables, Far East Cable consistently adheres to an innovation-driven development strategy targeting breakthroughs in core bottleneck technologies, striving to make due contributions to industrial progress. After years of innovative R&D, Far East has established cooperative supply partnerships with domestic and global wind turbine manufacturers including VESTAS, GE Wind Energy, Siemens, Goldwind, Envision Energy and Shanghai Electric.

Innovation knows no bounds, and breakthroughs never cease. As the wind power industry shifts from onshore to offshore and from nearshore to far offshore, the sector faces mounting challenges paired with abundant new opportunities. Going forward, Far East Cable will closely align with national strategies to conduct in-depth technical R&D, break foreign technological monopolies with self-developed products, advance wind power industrial development via core independent intellectual property rights, and contribute to comprehensively upgrading the technical level and global market competitiveness of China’s wind power generation system and supporting industries, as well as the high-quality development of offshore wind power.
